Dear readers, I am now half way through my vacation. As you saw in my blog post from July 12, I am enjoying myself. Vacation is important since it gives you the oppurtunity to rest. But it also adds new perspectives to things. How could you not be an environmentalist after meeting these beautiful cows up in the Swedish mountains (Sundets Fjällgård, in norht-west of Jämtland)?
And the environmental efforts taken during recent decades have been successful. I became more convinced on this matter after visiting the museum Jamtli in Östersund. What did I see in the old petrol station from 1956 on display in the museum?
Yes, a bottle of a pesticide I guess, with DDT. You do not find them to often in petrol stations today for obvious reasons!
See you back here on the blog in a couple of weeks!
